Reiki in Japanese means "Universal Energy," with 'Rei' being Universal, and 'Ki (Qi)" being energy. The practice of Usui Reiki was brought into being in 19th century Japan by Usui Mikao.

My first practice is that of Holy Fire Usui Reiki. As a level II Usui Reiki practitioner I call on the energy of Holy Fire and integrate its energy with a combination of other healing energies. There are many methods and practices of energy healing available to us in the world but Usui Reiki has to do with a specific kind of healing energy guided by spiritual consciousness. As the healer I channel and open up pathways for this energy to flow through. Guided by the current of Reiki I allow my hands to follow where the energy is directing me to focus on healing. By using my intuition and your feedback, I target the areas in your body which might feel tense, tight, stuck or blocked with heavy, dense or stagnant energy. These can be manifestations of past trauma, fear, or energies absorbed from your environment, among others. There is so much pain, trauma, and chaos at play in the world today, which is part of why it is important to maintain and take care of our energy bodies! Reiki can also absolve the weight of carrying emotional trauma.

 

Part of my goal as your Reiki practitioner is to help you to relase what has been weighing on you and blocking your energy. My desire as your practitioner is not only to leave you feeling lighter, more refreshed, grounded, balanced, and protected, but to put you in a more able to state to face your life with greater ease.

I am also a level II practitioner of Reiki Seichem Terra Mai, which is a division of Reiki stemming from Egyptian ideologies and energy healing arts. Reiki Seichem is a healing practice based in the four elements. Earth element of Reiki combined with Sophiel Water, Angelic Air, and Sakara Fire are channeled through my own unique gifts and energetic practices. I call upon these elements to unbind your energy, hold space for your depths, uplift your spirit, and to see what energy needs to be removed and burned away from your energetic field. My intention is always to remove what no longer serves and to help you release the internal burdens that are limiting your connections to peace, harmony, wellness, and love. I also utilize the Violet Flame of St. Germain to assist in the removal of any particularly dense energies. I infused the digital art at the top of this page with Reiki Seichem energies and the essence of the Violet Flame. I also infused Reiki energy into some of the other images on my site.

In a Reiki session I begin by grounding and protecting the space and calling in any angels, healing spirit guides, or benevolent ancestors that are waiting to assist in your healing. I gently scan my hands over your body. Not yet making any kind of contact with you physically, I assess the state of your energetic bodies, chakras, and auric field. Most sessions will begin with the top of the head downward unless I am being directed to work on a certain area of your body before anything else. Any physical contact made is gentle and non-invasive. Before any session, I will check in with you about any sensitives, injuries, or areas you feel strongly about not being touched. My goal as your Reiki practitioner is to make you feel as safe and comfortable as I possibly can.

In a session you may feel things like tingling, pulsing, or vibrating in certain areas of the body, ringing in the ears, or pulling and tugging sensations as energetic cords are removed. All of these things are completely normal during a healing session. Lean into the experience of feeling, and know that these sensations are the physical responses to your healing and releasing.

 

All in person sessions occur in the clients home, and I will come prepared to set up an immersive healing space for us to do our work together. I also offer distance Reiki healings for those who are unable to meet with me in person. With distance Reiki, the same techniques apply but instead, I will be working with you in the non-physical energetic realms to send you healing energy thru the aether.

All energy in the Universe is connected and so are we.

Reiki is for anyone who is ready to release the weight that they have been carrying, and for those who are ready to step into a lighter version of themselves and remember what it feels like to exist in a state of ease. You don't have to be on a spiritual journey to accept Reiki healing, but you do have to be ready to let go of what is not serving you and step out of victimhood.

 

For me Reiki truly helped me to release the stuck trauma and somatic blocks that I had been working through in therapy for years. I tried meditation and multiple therapy modalities but I wasn't able to fully dissolve these internal issues until I started trying Reiki for the first time in 2019. I am still continuously working on the layers of my healing but I am so grateful to have been able to dissolve and transmute the majority of the issues that had accumulated as stuck energy in my body. They say that the body remembers trauma, and for me this statement is more than true, but with Reiki I was able to work directly with the energy centers of my body and finally release the blocks that had been stuck in me for years. I feel so much lighter now, and am so grateful to have found something that works for me as I continue unveiling my layers of self.

 

A big part of what I realized after working with Reiki energy was that I had mentally come to terms with a lot of my blockages, and had worked through so much in understanding what it was and how it affected me, but that didn't make it any easier to move the stuck energy and epigenetic trauma from my body. After working with Reiki I was able to remove the blocks, stop my cycle of triggers, and finally move through my trauma; not just talk, and intellectualize myself through it. Talking about it and understanding how my past had affected me was equally important but working with my body through Reiki was the piece I had been missing in order to finally let it all go. Reiki helped me find the energy attachments that I had been holding within me that kept me tied to the pain of my past experiences. Removing these attachments and stuck energy sent me on the path of de-integrating the impact of having held these traumas in my body for so long. Not only was I able to process and release but I was able to accept and gain more wisdom from my experiences than I had been when I was still holding these traumas within me. I was able to separate and see my experiences objectively, giving myself the grace of feeling the hard feelings while allowing them to pass through me as something separate from myself.

This is my focus as a Reiki practioner, to allow my clients to feel the full scope of their unprocessed emotions, trauma, and experiences with grace for the integration process. I want you to feel everything you are meant to feel and then keep breathing, keep noticing, keep going, and see the wisdom in letting your pain pass through you as you work through the layers of what you are experiencing. I want to hold space for all of you and see you through the other side of surrender and transformation.

I always encourage my clients to be intersectional and pro-active in their own healing and highly recommend finding ways to continue your self-work in whatever ways feel right for you. Reiki is not a one-stop-shop or an easy fix by any means, you have to be committed to yourself and your well-being in order for me to co-create healing with you. I cannot do the work for you, but I can open a space for you to let go of what you are ready to release and hold you in a safe container of healing energies. I can cut your cords, transmute your pain, and fill you with light energies but you have to be the one who is willing to let go and to step forward into the world and continue and maintain the work of your own expansion.
